A blog about TTC, infertility and hope

My amazing hubby and I are fairly new to this journey. We started dating in 2007 and tied the knot in 2012. We were never really trying to get pregnant, but not preventing either. Last July (2013) I was diagnosed with PCOS and we started seeing a specialist in November 2013. Not only do I have PCOS, I had an HSG done showing that I have a blocked right tube with Hydrosalpinx. January 2014 I got my first ever BFP!! But my joy was quickly gone when at 6 weeks they couldn’t find a sack, heartbeat or anything. They worried that it was ectopic and gave me Methotrexate.  Doctor says the only way I will most likely have a child is with IVF, but being as though my insurance doesn’t cover it we are going to try injectables with IUI- but only if I ovulate on the left side (my good side). I am 30 and hubby will be 30 in July. We are moving forward with hope, faith and prayer!

    Hi There,

I discovered your blog through waitingforbabybird.com. Elisha and I have been blog buddies for about a year now – I write at newlywedlefebvres.com

I just wanted to reach out to you and tell you I was also diagnosed with PCOS, and then they found a large cyst blocking my right ovary, which was removed, and then they found one of my tubes was blocked, and that was cleared. I am 31, will be 32 this year, and we have now been ‘trying’ almost 2 years – since the day we got married on September 15, 2012. We have had no BFP’s at all in those almost 2 years of trying, and have been told we will not have children without IVF/IUI/(or least likely) medication.

But one day, I decided to truly give my fertility over to God, and let Him take the reigns. And girl, as much as my husband and I desire children, I have never known such peace! He has spoken to us and told us we would have a baby girl, and to name her Jonah Elizabeth – there’s a whole VLOG about it on our site – and He has also spoken to others and told them we would be expecting little Jonah sooner than we thought, and also that Jonah is going to have a little sister… The God we serve is just amazing. And the power of our faith and prayers is insurmountable!!

I just want to encourage you that you aren’t alone in your struggles. God is there waiting with open arms for you and He wants to bless you, and He will! Have faith!!

    xoxo,
    Pier
